The traditional carpenter's pencil is used on a daily basis, yet has remained unchanged since the 17th century.  Striker and Dura Lead have accommodated the age-old affliction of "getting the lead out".   Simply press the cap and jaws release lead, allowing user to position at desired length (3.65" of usable length per stick).  Dura Lead is 18% thicker than standard lead and the pencil is ergonomically designed for writing comfort.
